ACDIS Global
Interactions Undergraduate Awards
Don’t just see the world…change the world!
| In the past three years, the Program in Arms Control, Disarmament, and International Security (ACDIS) has given scholarship awards to over a dozen University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) undergraudate students to support their involvement in international or U.S.-based internships, study abroad, or faculty-supervised research programs relevant to global issues. |

All UIUC undergraduates in good standing are eligible to apply for these awards. Strong preference is given to students doing work relevant to international security and/or with placements in developing countries. Application materials provide additional information about criteria for selection.
Award amounts have ranged from $500 up to $3,000. We are not currently accepting applications for these awards. Deadlines for applications are normally early in the spring semester. Next year's competition deadline will be announced in the fall. Revised application materials and instructions will be posted to this web site at that time. |
International destinations of past award recipients have included Argentina, Bangladesh, Costa Rica, Egypt, Germany, Ghana, India, Mexico, Norway, and Senegal. Students have also used these awards to support internship work in Chicago and Washington, DC. |
